What you will do

You will work closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager, coordinating as needed with the home office Electrical Procurement Coordinator. Together, you will formulate, discuss, and finalize the overall plan of operations, job layout, and job schedule. You will manage the day-to-day work of crafts and subcontractors in the field, delegating responsibilities through foremen and subcontractor representatives. This role requires collaboration with partners from diverse cultures and languages.

You will maintain regular communications with project staff to confirm that all work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. You will review plans and specifications of each job, along with job budget and estimate, alongside the project manager and project superintendent. This ensures that quantities, values, manpower requirements, and deliveries for all job divisions are clearly understood. You will participate in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and assist in preparing plans for receiving, storing, and handling materials at the start of each job.

When construction issues arise, such as lack of productivity or work interfaces, you will assist in resolving them. You will uphold the best possible relationship with the project owner and the associated architectural-engineering firm. Your efforts will focus on developing a cooperative and respectful spirit between Caddell and every project partner. You will perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.

Working conditions involve a construction setting that requires full-time commitment. Travel is an expected part of the engagement. The role demands the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods. You must be capable of lifting and holding weights in excess of 50 lbs, talking, hearing, and occasionally sitting. The ability to work in confined spaces or at extreme heights safely is essential. You must navigate hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on the project location.

Reporting structure places this role under the Project Superintendent International or Project Manager International. Accountability is central to The Caddell Way, fostering a strong work ethic and positive team environment. A true sense of purpose and teamwork defines our culture.

What we expect

The role requires strong leadership and management skills, plus a deep knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems. Excellent technical and management skills are mandatory, along with strong client relations abilities. You must demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage costs and control schedules. A thorough knowledge of safety requirements is non-negotiable. The ability to coach, lead, and motivate multinational and multi-disciplined employees is essential. You will exercise leadership, execute plans with precision, provide a clear vision of project futures, and communicate that vision to subordinates with integrity and strong communication skills.

Education and experience requirements include a minimum high school or GED credential, combined with 15 years of total construction management experience. At least five of those years must involve design/build experience with electrical systems. A preferred candidate holds a four-year degree in building science, construction management, or engineering, with 10 years of total construction management experience. Of those 10 years, a minimum of five must focus on design/build work in electrical systems.

Certifications, licenses, and other requirements include the ability to submit certifications upon request and to obtain medical clearance before deployment. Current clearance, or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance, is required for U.S. Government positions.
