Quality Control Manager
Job description
About the role
Caddell Construction seeks a Quality Control Manager to safeguard project integrity across global operations. This role demands ownership of the entire project lifecycle from intake to completion. You will enforce standards directly with owners and partners located overseas. Field choices you make on the ground determine success across multiple regions. You act as the primary guardian of quality, ensuring that every phase meets stringent criteria. Your decisions prevent rework and protect the company's reputation internationally. You will translate complex design documents into actionable inspection plans for diverse teams. Success in this position hinges on your ability to manage risk before it impacts the schedule or budget.
What you'll do
Establish inspection priorities for every intake before any work begins on site. Convert design specifications into concrete on-site control procedures that crews can follow precisely. Identify discrepancies during detailed reviews so teams can adapt methods before final delivery to the client. Coordinate with owners, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on all quality related topics and concerns. Schedule and witness testing activities while verifying that construction activities align exactly with contract documents and drawings. Issue directives to subcontractors regarding defects and required corrective actions to meet contractual standards. Ensure that any noncompliance triggers immediate corrective action to prevent escalation and delays. Maintain current as-builts, submittals, and drawings to keep documentation synchronized with the physical work completed in the field. Perform material, equipment, and workmanship inspections across all phases to confirm compliance with project requirements. Compile comprehensive punch lists and manage final acceptance processes to achieve successful project closure. Escalate issues rapidly to keep corrective actions on schedule and avoid impacts to critical path milestones. Verify that all quality control documentation is complete, accurate, and available for audits or client reviews. Monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement across international projects and teams. Support the implementation of best practices that enhance consistency and reliability of outcomes.
Location and Engagement
Positions are based across various international locations around the world. The role requires full-time engagement with a willingness to travel as needed to different project sites. Travel may involve extended stays depending on the scope and duration of specific contracts. You must be prepared to adapt to different time zones and working environments while maintaining quality standards.
Compensation
Salary is determined based on experience and market data, reflecting ten years in the field and the complexity of international responsibilities.
