About the role
You own the full execution and delivery of commercial and mission critical/data center projects in Columbus, overseeing the complete schedule, cost, and quality outcomes from start to closeout. You lead and develop craft teams and subcontractors on complex technical environments where safety, precision, and reliability are non negotiable. You interface directly with owners, architects, and project leadership to align expectations and resolve issues in a timely manner. You drive proactive risk management, coordinate field logistics, and ensure all work complies with contract documents and regulatory standards. You are accountable for productivity, labor discipline, and the efficient use of materials and equipment within budget. You mentor and supervise diverse craft resources while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You report project status, costs, and risks accurately and support data driven decision making at all levels. You uphold the Caddell Way by demonstrating strong leadership, collaboration, and integrity in every interaction.

What you'll do
Coordinate and supervise the complete installation of all project scope to meet commercial and mission critical/data center objectives.
Supervise subcontractor performance and craft workers to ensure activities are executed profitably, safely, and in accordance with contract documents.
Lead construction efforts to guarantee safety, design intent, budget adherence, and schedule compliance for the Commercial Business Unit.
Plan and coordinate daily field activities, including scheduling, engineering support, and material control, interfacing with administrative functions as needed.
Supervise craft hiring, placement, and training to maintain a skilled and reliable workforce aligned with project demands.
Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and plan upcoming work sequences.
Manage all self performed and subcontracted work to protect quality, schedule integrity, and contractual obligations.
Maintain and report weekly labor costs to support forecasting, decision making, and project controls.
Assume responsibility for craft productivity, material efficiency, equipment utilization, and overall project performance.
Ensure all work is performed safely through proactive planning, observation, and corrective action.
Perform additional assignments as directed by the project manager or construction executive to support evolving needs.
Working Conditions - Construction setting that may require travel, full time engagement, and extended hours on site.

Requirements
High School or GED is mandatory, and a four year degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering is preferred.
Bring a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Craft Supervisor or Superintendent on comparable commercial or mission critical/data center projects.
Demonstrate strong leadership, good written communication, and excellent verbal skills in a fast paced, multi trade environment.
Understand and comply with contract documents, specifications, and all applicable codes and regulations.
Possess the physical ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, and lift or hold more than 50 lbs.
Ability to work in confined spaces, at extreme heights, and in challenging conditions while maintaining personal and team safety.
Must tolerate hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on project location and season.
Commit to a full time schedule with potential travel and on call availability as required by project demands.
Ability to use personal protective equipment and follow all site safety protocols without exception.
Willingness to support coordination with clients, architects, and subcontractors to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
Accept responsibility for accurate reporting, documentation, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Nice to have
Four year degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.
Experience with mission critical/data center environments and related technical requirements.
Proven track record of supervising complex projects in commercial settings.
Familiarity with advanced scheduling, estimating, and cost control practices.
Skills in leading and developing craft teams and subcontractors effectively.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project conditions.
Experience interfacing with owners, architects, and project stakeholders in a professional manner.
Practical notes
This role operates on a full time basis and may require travel depending on project needs.
Work is performed in a construction environment with variable conditions including heat, cold, and humidity.
Physical demands include working at height, in confined spaces, and lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
The position reports to the Project Manager or Construction Executive and is part of the Commercial Business Unit.
