About the role
You manage entire construction projects from initial assessment through final completion within the Commercial Business Unit. You direct and coordinate all planning, budgeting, and daily field activities to ensure projects meet design, cost, and schedule targets. You interface continuously with owners, architectural engineering representatives, and subcontractors to align expectations and resolve issues. You provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications while recommending appropriate construction methods and equipment. You assume full responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity of both subcontractors and Caddell Craft employees on every assignment. You administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs, forecast remaining expenses, and control budgets. You prepare complete plans of execution and oversee all extra work estimating and change order issuance. You foster positive working relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors while supporting compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you'll do
Plan and direct all construction activities for mission critical and data center projects within the Commercial Business Unit.
Coordinate and budget project resources to ensure job requirements are met while effectively controlling costs.
Assess project scope and determine the personnel, equipment, and materials needed for successful completion.
Verify project estimate completeness through detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
Supervise total construction efforts to ensure work is built by design, budget, and schedule while interfacing with owners and A/E representatives.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative staff direction.
Provide technical assistance by interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment as required.
Oversee extra work estimating and the issuance of change orders while maintaining contractual and financial accuracy.
Assume responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity of subcontractors as well as Caddell Craft employees on each project.
Monitor the efficient use of materials, equipment, and contractual performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast remaining project expenses.
Prepare complete plans of execution to guide project implementation and team activities.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor direction to support organizational needs.
Strive to foster good work relations with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Assist staff in review and compliance of company policies, procedures, and job responsibilities.
Maintain full responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing, and executing an effective Safety and Health Program on the project.
Ensure all work is delivered in a construction setting where travel is required and full-time engagement is necessary.
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or GED and 10 years' experience in the construction industry required.
Four-year college degree in construction management, engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold more than 50 lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit.
Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks in a safe manner to themselves and others.
Must be capable of working in construction settings that involve travel, full-time schedules, and exposure to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location.
Must meet all job requirements in a safe manner while navigating challenging physical environments and confined spaces.
Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and job responsibilities while supporting good work relations.
Must maintain accountability for safety, quality, and productivity of subcontractors and Caddell Craft employees on every project.
Nice to have
Four-year college degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Experience managing mission critical or data center projects.
Strong knowledge of estimating, change order administration, and financial tracking systems.
Proven ability to interface effectively with owners, A/E representatives, and subcontractors.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering positive work relations and teamwork.
Practical notes
This role requires full-time engagement and involves regular travel to project sites.
