Project Manager - International

About the role

You will serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives during the initial project assessment phase, translating their objectives into a clear scope of work and resource strategy. You will conduct a detailed verification of all estimate components, including proposal specifications, drawings, takeoffs, and contracting documents to ensure alignment before execution. You will supervise the entire construction effort to guarantee strict adherence to design intent, budget limitations, and the established project schedule. You will plan, coordinate, and direct onsite functions, managing scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative support such as accounting and purchasing. You will provide technical expertise by interpreting drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, and initiating extra work estimating along with change order issuance. You will assume accountability for the productivity of crafts, the efficient use of materials and equipment, and the overall contractual performance of the project. You will administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast the remaining cost to complete, including cash flow and resource planning. You will prepare a comprehensive plan of execution and perform additional assignments as directed by construction executives. You will assume full responsibility for the oversight of the project's safety plan and records.

What you'll do

• Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.

• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, other contractors, and stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve issues.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, and related support.
• Provide technical assistance such as recommending construction methods and equipment and interpreting complex drawings and specifications.
• Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders to manage project modifications and contract adjustments.
• Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance metrics.
• Administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs, estimate the remaining cost to complete, and perform cash flow forecasting and resource planning.
• Prepare complete plan of execution detailing methodology, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform additional assignments per construction executive's direction to support evolving project needs and organizational goals.
• Assume full responsibility for oversight of the project's safety plan and record to ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
• Responsible for coordination of all consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate project progress and profitability.
• Working Conditions- Construction setting, travel required, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lift and hold in excess of 100 pounds.

Requirements

You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field to be considered for this role. You must have a minimum of seven years of construction management experience on international projects, demonstrating a proven track record of successful project delivery. You must be capable of obtaining and maintaining multiple international passports and supporting the necessary visa applications for each country of assignment. You must have the physical ability to perform duties in a construction environment, including frequent exposure to outdoor conditions and variable weather. You must be proficient in reading, interpreting, and working from complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. You must have experience administering financial tracking systems, cash flow forecasting, and preparing detailed project cost reports. You must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with clients, consultants, and project teams across diverse cultural contexts. You must comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and contractual obligations as they apply to international projects.
