The role is based in Columbus, Ohio, United States, focusing specifically on commercial data center projects. Compensation includes a base salary of $142,000, potential bonus structures, comprehensive benefits, company-funded medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, life and disability plans, a 401k match, gym membership reimbursement, and the use of company condominiums. You will be responsible for steering construction activities to guarantee strict compliance with design, budget, and contractual obligations.

What you'll do
You will design and implement project execution frameworks while actively mentoring project managers and superintendents through each phase of the project lifecycle. It will be necessary to chart resource requirements against the project scope to verify capacity before making any financial or contractual commitments to the client. You will conduct rigorous validation of estimates, performing detailed reviews of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents to ensure completeness and accuracy before mobilization. Steering construction activities is essential to guarantee compliance with design intent, budget constraints, and contractual obligations throughout the project duration. Orchestrating daily site functions will be a core responsibility, covering scheduling, engineering, and material control while providing day-to-day direction to on-site administrative staff and craft employees. You will interpret complex technical documents, recommend appropriate construction methods and equipment, and manage the issuance of change orders and extra work estimating with precision. Championing safety, quality, and productivity for both subcontractors and Caddell craft employees is a key duty that requires constant vigilance and proactive leadership. Tracking project finances will involve monitoring costs in real-time and forecasting the remaining project budget to ensure targets are met and profitability is maintained. Drafting comprehensive project plans and related documentation for stakeholder review is required to ensure transparency and alignment across all departments. You will execute additional assignments as directed by executive management, ensuring alignment with evolving priorities and strategic objectives. Building and maintaining enduring customer relationships through transparent communication and reliable delivery will be central to the role and success of the project. Verifying adherence to company policies and procedures, including job safety compliance, will support the broader team and mitigate operational risks. Ultimately, you will own the implementation and execution of an effective Safety and Health Program for every project you manage to ensure a zero-incident workplace. You will leverage your expertise to drive process improvements and implement best practices that enhance efficiency and outcomes across the data center sector. You will serve as the primary liaison between Caddell and key stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed and deliverables are met on schedule.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, combined with fifteen years of project management experience in a relevant field. A four-year degree in engineering or construction management is strongly desired, along with additional experience to demonstrate advanced knowledge. Hands-on background in automation or manufacturing/production remodels is preferred to ensure familiarity with complex operational environments. The role requires a high level of accountability, concise execution of plans, vision for project futures, and effective communication skills to navigate challenging situations. You must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a sharp focus on deadlines and quality standards. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential to address unforeseen challenges and find practical solutions under pressure. The ability to lead and mentor junior team members is a critical requirement to foster growth and maintain high performance standards. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance, adhering strictly to all company policies and industry regulations. Employment is full-time. The role may require travel depending on project needs.
