About the role
You are the on-brand voice for cabi across every touchpoint, translating strategy into clear, compelling copy that feels human and polished. You own the full writing lifecycle for marketing assets, moving from raw idea to finished piece while protecting the integrity of the brand. You partner daily with Creative and Marketing to ensure concepts, campaigns, and channels feel cohesive and aligned with the cabi promise. You write with clarity and empathy, crafting messages that help our Stylists and clients feel seen, confident, and connected. You are proactive in flagging risks, owning revisions, and keeping projects moving so that campaigns launch on time and on message. You bring curiosity and discipline to every task, balancing creativity with the details that keep communication accurate and credible. You help elevate the work of others by collaborating generously and communicating with precision. You are a steady, solutions-focused writer who shows up with ownership and follows through on commitments.

What you'll do
Write and edit on-brand copy for email, site and digital, social, print collateral, and seasonal campaign materials.
Own proofing of your own work, checking facts, tone, grammar, and formatting before copy moves to design, production, or publishing.
Champion and protect the cabi brand voice and tone across every channel, adapting style for print, digital, and social while staying consistent with brand guidelines.
Work directly in Figma alongside Creative and Design to write, review, and refine copy within layouts and templates.
Manage copy requests, drafts, revisions, and approvals through Asana, keeping timelines, dependencies, and statuses visible to stakeholders.
Partner with Art Direction, Design, Social, and Marketing to ensure copy supports the broader creative concept and campaign strategy.
Meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects, surfacing timeline risks early to your manager and collaborating on solutions.
Perform copy research, audience analysis, and messaging experiments to support campaigns and test initiatives.
Maintain version control and organized file structures so that assets are easy to find, understand, and reuse.
Translate campaign briefs into clear narratives and headlines that resonate with cabi's customer and stylist community.
Edit and refine copy from other sources to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
Support localization and adaptation of copy for different channels and audiences while preserving intent and voice.
Track and apply feedback from stakeholders, using it to iterate and strengthen the clarity and impact of your writing.
Contribute to the development of brand frameworks, checklists, and style notes that help the team write consistently over time.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
2 to 4 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within fashion, lifestyle, or creative marketing environments.
A demonstrated portfolio showing your ability to write across print, digital, and social while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Strong self-editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail, grammar, spelling, and clarity.
Proficiency in Figma and Asana (or similar project management tools) is required for effective collaboration and workflow management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative, and detail-focused environment.
Comfort working directly with designers, art directors, marketers, and stakeholders to iterate and refine work efficiently.
Strong command of written English, including syntax, tone, and structure, to produce clear, engaging, and error-free copy.
Nice to have
Experience writing fashion, lifestyle, or retail-focused marketing content that supports commercial and brand goals.
Familiarity with cabi's brand, products, and customer community, or a strong interest in learning about the brand quickly.
Basic understanding of design principles and how copy fits into visual layouts in tools like Figma.
Experience managing copy workflows and version control in Asana or similar project management systems.
Ability to write with clarity for both long-form and short-form formats, from campaign narratives to social captions.
