What you'll do
- Architect and maintain dynamic revenue models that integrate real-time pipeline data and sophisticated cohort logic to facilitate long-term strategic planning.
- Synthesize financial metrics and performance data to craft compelling narratives that guide executive leadership and departmental priorities.
- Exercise ownership over expense forecasting and headcount planning, functioning as a primary business partner to department heads for resource allocation.
- Orchestrate the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews in coordination with the Investor Relations group.
- Champion initiatives to automate and enhance financial infrastructure by deploying AI tools and scripting solutions to eliminate redundant manual tasks.
- Execute ad hoc analyses and develop multiple scenario models to evaluate options and risks associated with high-stakes business decisions.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, outliers, and areas for improvement across the business.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used for forecasting and performance tracking.
- Establish and maintain financial models that are transparent, auditable, and easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current financial processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Support the development of external guidance materials and contribute to interactions with investors and analysts as needed.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
Requirements
- Hold a BS or MS degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a STEM-related field from an accredited institution.
- Possess 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Private Equity, or Investment Banking.
- Demonstrate advanced financial modeling skills with the capability to construct detailed, auditable models for revenue, expenses, and headcount from the ground up.
- Show technical knowledge of core software business metrics including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and churn rates.
- Exhibit familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their application in a SaaS environment.
- Provide evidence of hands-on experience using AI tools, specifically Claude, to build automations or intelligent agents that enhance speed and accuracy in financial operations.
- Prove the ability to communicate complex financial data and insights effectively to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Display resilience and adaptability when working in a fast-paced environment characterized by high levels of ambiguity and evolving priorities.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial analyses and reporting deliverables.
- Commit to upholding the highest ethical standards in all financial practices and disclosures.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience with scripting for automation to further reduce manual intervention in financial workflows.
- Prior exposure to ARR, NRR, and churn analysis within a subscription-based business model.
