You will architect and deliver core infrastructure components that power Generative AI capabilities within the C3 Ai Platform. This role demands ownership of the entire software development lifecycle from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization in production. You will partner closely with data scientists to translate cutting edge research into scalable, reliable, and performant services. The position requires a deep commitment to building systems that abstract complexity while providing powerful tools to enterprise customers. You will play a key role in enabling the next generation of AI applications on the C3 Ai Platform. What you'll do

Architect and construct software systems and tools that enable the seamless integration and utilization of Generative AI technologies within enterprise applications built on the C3 Ai Platform.

Design and implement scalable end-to-end machine learning pipelines capable of operating in distributed environments with heterogeneous compute resources such as GPUs and TPUs.

Collaborate with data scientists to research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art techniques for the efficient training and fine-tuning of large-scale Generative Models.

Define and lead the long-term technical vision and development roadmap for the C3 Generative AI Suite in partnership with product owners and stakeholders.

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to elevate the overall skill level and productivity of the engineering team.

Champion best practices in software engineering including code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure alignment and understanding.

Investigate and prototype emerging Generative AI frameworks and libraries to assess their applicability and impact on the platform roadmap.

Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of production services handling large language models and related workloads.

Drive the adoption of Agile development methodologies to improve delivery speed and team collaboration.

Contribute to the open source community and internal technical documentation to share knowledge and promote best practices.

Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production issues and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.

Continuously evaluate new hardware and software technologies to optimize the cost and performance of AI model training and inference.

Act as a technical leader in defining coding standards, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high quality software releases.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with a Master's degree being strongly preferred.

Applicants must demonstrate exceptional proficiency in Python programming and have hands-on experience with at least one additional language such as Java or JavaScript.

A thorough understanding of core computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, profiling, and optimization techniques is mandatory.

Candidates must have an in-depth comprehension of machine learning principles, with a specific focus on deep learning architectures and methodologies.

A proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining machine learning models within production environments is required.

Applicants must exhibit end-to-end ownership of complex projects, delivering complete solutions from conception through deployment.

Outstanding listening and communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated passion and active engagement with Generative AI technologies, including practical experience with tools such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or ChatGPT Plugins, is necessary.

A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience in a fast-paced, high-growth software company is a strict requirement.

Nice to have

Advanced degrees in computer science, mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines are preferred.
