About the role

Bybit is seeking a Country Manager for Germany to spearhead the expansion and execution of our business strategy within the German market. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end management of local operations, driving growth across user acquisition, revenue generation, and brand positioning. This role requires hands-on leadership in developing and implementing a strategic business plan that aligns with our global vision while adapting to local market dynamics. The hire will partner closely with key opinion leaders and local ecosystems to amplify our market presence and ensure Bybit remains a trusted name in the region. Additionally, the role demands proactive navigation of regulatory expectations, working in tandem with legal and compliance teams to uphold the highest standards of governance. Ultimately, the Country Manager will be responsible for fostering sustainable growth and long-term relationships that reinforce Bybit's leadership in the German cryptocurrency landscape.

What you'll do

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic business plan tailored to the German market, focusing on market expansion, user acquisition, and sustainable revenue growth.

Lead and coordinate all aspects of local operations, including marketing campaigns, industry events, and partnership initiatives, to ensure consistent brand delivery.

Drive brand awareness and engagement through targeted campaigns, leveraging social media channels popular in Germany and organizing community-centric events.

Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, local financial institutions, and industry partners to establish a robust network in the German crypto ecosystem.

Ensure strict compliance with EU regulatory requirements, including MiCAR, MiFID, and EMI, by collaborating with internal legal and compliance teams.

Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks proactively.

Represent Bybit in relevant industry forums, conferences, and media engagements to strengthen the brand's reputation and visibility in Germany.

Manage and motivate a local team, providing guidance, performance tracking, and professional development to align with business objectives.

Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing spend, improve conversion funnels, and enhance customer lifetime value across all digital and offline touchpoints.

Act as the primary point of contact for local partners, regulators, and media, ensuring timely and accurate communication of Bybit's objectives and values.

Champion innovation by exploring emerging fintech and Web3 trends, assessing their applicability and impact within the German market.

Oversee the localization of marketing materials, product messaging, and customer support content to ensure relevance and clarity for German-speaking users.

Support the development of localized product features and services that align with user preferences and regulatory expectations in Germany.

Report regularly to senior leadership on performance metrics, strategic initiatives, and market intelligence to inform global decision-making.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

Bring a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.

Demonstrate proven experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Showcase a strong track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets, KPIs, and business objectives in previous roles.

Possess fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Have hands-on experience in the cryptocurrency, fintech, or digital asset industry, with prior management-level responsibilities in a crypto-related environment.

Show deep understanding of EU regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to MiCA, MiFID II, and EMI, as well as familiarity with national regulations in Germany.

Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities, with comfort in interpreting data and translating insights into action plans.

Display excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a proactive mindset in navigating ambiguity and driving results in a dynamic market.

Nice to have

Prior experience working with German financial authorities or regulatory bodies is highly valued.

Hands-on experience with compliance tools, regulatory reporting platforms, and AML/KYC processes is preferred.

Knowledge of the German blockchain and cryptocurrency policy landscape, including recent legislative changes, is advantageous.

Experience managing community-driven marketing programs and ambassador initiatives in Germany is a plus.

Familiarity with localized payment methods and banking partners in Germany is beneficial.

Experience in event management and public speaking at industry conferences is highly regarded.

Practical notes

This role requires availability for occasional travel within Germany and to international hubs as needed for business development and industry events.
