What you'll do
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with Bricarts Media's mission and values.
- Manage the recruitment process by creating job descriptions, posting openings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews to attract top talent.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and providing necessary training and resources.
- Develop and maintain employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback mechanisms, and team-building activities to enhance workplace morale.
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans to support employee growth.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a diverse workforce and inclusive culture.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as benefits providers and training organizations, to enhance employee offerings and resources.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement within the organization.
- Support the planning and execution of company events and initiatives that promote community engagement and employee connection.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or a related role, preferably within the arts or nonprofit sector.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a willingness to learn new tools as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Nice to have
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) platforms, particularly BambooHR or similar systems.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration and payroll processes.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and employee engagement tools.
- Previous experience in a nonprofit or arts organization is a plus.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is advantageous but not required.
