Enterprise Value Engineer
Job description
Enterprise Value Engineer at Blp Digital.
About the role
BLP Digital is redefining ERP automation with agentic AI, and the Enterprise Value Engineer (Presales) is central to shaping and winning enterprise automation decisions. You will reframe customer problems, quantify the cost of inaction, and prove value through tailored workshops and high-impact demonstrations. This role requires you to own technical leadership and value articulation while actively de-risking concerns around security and complex integrations. You will build alignment across diverse buying committees led by CFOs and CIOs, ensuring a clear and compelling path to adoption. The position demands insight-led selling that challenges initial customer framing and uncovers where value is truly trapped. You will translate operational bottlenecks into a crisp target-state narrative and a concrete mutual action plan. Success in this role means driving the narrative from fragmented point solutions to an integrated, exceptions-first end-to-end vision. You will be a key driver in moving customers from skepticism to a tangible blueprint for measurable outcomes.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Practice insight selling by challenging the customer's initial framing and introducing a sharper point of view on where value is trapped, such as exceptions, approvals, master data, controls, and reframing urgency using cost-of-inaction.
- Lead discovery sessions across CFO, CIO, Shared Services, and Procurement leaders to uncover operational bottlenecks and decision friction, translating findings into a compelling target-state narrative and mutual action plan.
- Architect a tailored solution by defining scope, rollout approach, integration patterns, security posture, and clear success criteria for enterprise deployments.
- Run deep dives with IT and security teams, articulating clearly how blp operates in complex enterprise environments, including ERP digital twin concepts, data synchronization strategies, governance models, and control frameworks.
- Deliver high-impact demos that map precisely to core customer workflows, such as P2P and AP processes, proving tangible outcomes rather than merely listing features.
- Facilitate workshops that transform stakeholder skepticism into a tangible blueprint and path to value, guiding participants from doubt to a shared understanding of benefits.
- Build a credible value narrative centered on labor productivity capacity, cycle time reduction, compliance and control improvements, and stack simplification.
- Support champions and the AE by providing executive-ready business-case inputs, impact ranges, and rollout economics that justify investment and accelerate decisions.
- Position blp against point tools and fragmented stacks using an end-to-end and exceptions-first narrative that highlights strategic coherence.
- Help the deal team articulate a clear "why now" anchored in operational risk, ERP program maturity, and the requirements of enterprise scale.
Requirements
- Possess 3-8+ years in Value Engineering, Presales, Solution Consulting, or ERP process consulting, or equivalent experience in finance or procurement operations combined with strong customer-facing capabilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to run insight-based discovery in the Challenger style, respectfully pushing back while quantifying impact and building conviction across a buying committee.
- Comfortably engage with senior stakeholders including CFOs, CIOs, and Heads of Shared Services, leading discussions without formal authority.
- Exhibit strong workshop facilitation and demo craft, with mastery of story, structure, and objection handling techniques.
- Connect technical realities to business outcomes, discussing impacts on FTE capacity, cycle time, controls, compliance risk, and total cost of ownership.
- Fluency in English and German, or another major European language depending on the specific territory assignment.
- Understand how to operate effectively in enterprise environments where security, governance, and integration complexity are central concerns.
- Have the capability to translate complex product capabilities into clear business value propositions for non-technical decision makers.
Nice to have
- SAP exposure, including S/4HANA, ECC, or experience within Public or Private Cloud environments, or familiarity with multi-ERP landscapes.
- Finance or process knowledge in areas such as AP, invoice processing, S2P or P2P flows, exception handling, approvals, and master data workflows.
- Prior experience competing against legacy vendors and fragmented point solutions or patchwork stacks of tools.
