About the role
As a , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to source and procure high-quality materials and services that align with our operational needs. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong negotiation skills, as you will be interacting with various suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible terms. You will also collaborate closely with internal teams to understand their requirements and ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with the company's goals.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Bkimechanical's operational objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure that Bkimechanical remains competitive in terms of pricing and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material specifications and ensure that procurement meets project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information to facilitate efficient tracking and reporting.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets and forecast future procurement needs based on project timelines and company growth.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and other strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry developments and best practices in procurement to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Nice to have
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly those used in manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Knowledge of international procurement processes and regulations.
- Previous experience in a similar industry, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
