What you'll do

• Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality plans to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits of processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established quality protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions for non-conformances and ensure continuous improvement in quality practices.
• Assist in the preparation and review of quality reports, summarizing findings and providing actionable insights to management.
• Train and mentor team members on quality assurance processes, documentation standards, and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
• Manage the documentation control process, ensuring that all quality-related documents are current, accessible, and properly archived.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives, ensuring that quality considerations are integrated from the outset.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact quality standards and practices, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Support the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and assist in maintaining ISO certification requirements.
• Facilitate root cause analysis for quality issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management on a regular basis.
• Act as a liaison between Bamboohr and external auditors or regulatory bodies during inspections and assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and experience in maintaining quality management systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful reports.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in quality management software and documentation tools, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of independent work.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.

Nice to have

• Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
• Previous experience in the mechanical or industrial engineering field.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements specific to the mechanical industry.

• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
