What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems that support various engineering applications and processes.
• Optimize database performance through effective indexing, partitioning, and query tuning to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with software developers and data analysts to create data models that meet business requirements and improve data accessibility.
• Monitor database health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal operation.
• Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in database design, development, and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of database systems.
• Familiarity with database security practices and compliance regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
