About the role

We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team at Bitpanda, where we strive to make complex financial products accessible to over 7 million users. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging interfaces for a variety of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, commodities, and real-world assets. Your designs will need to balance intricate data with user-friendly experiences, ensuring that our users can navigate our platform with ease and confidence.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Design comprehensive investment and trading interfaces for both mobile and web platforms, aiming to enhance user engagement and drive revenue growth.
• Transform intricate financial concepts, such as margin trading and recurring investments, into straightforward and accessible user flows.
• Conduct behavioral analysis, usability testing, and user research to identify areas for improvement in conversion rates and to pinpoint any issues within the user journey.
• Contribute to and uphold our design architecture, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all investment-related products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Risk, and Legal, to ensure that your designs meet compliance standards and are technically viable.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your design vision to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in product design, particularly within the fintech and trading sectors.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development process, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of design decisions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Product, UX, or UI design, particularly in sectors such as brokerage, fintech, trading, or wealth management.
• Proven ability to distill complex, data-rich workflows into elegant and functional design solutions.
• High proficiency in design tools such as Figma, along with a strong background in interaction design and rapid prototyping techniques.
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and the use of funnel metrics to guide design choices.
• Experience in navigating highly regulated environments while balancing the need for compliance with an exceptional user experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, coupled with a strong sense of customer empathy and understanding of user needs.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing for mobile-first applications, particularly in the financial services domain.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in design to ensure inclusivity.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative design processes.
• Previous involvement in user research and testing, with a focus on gathering actionable insights.
