About the role
In the capacity of Director of Product Growth, you will spearhead the strategic initiatives and operational execution aimed at enhancing our top-of-funnel growth. Your primary focus will be on establishing a robust Growth Product organization that effectively guides new users through the stages of discovery, onboarding, and their initial investments on our platform. This position entails comprehensive strategic and operational oversight of the user acquisition journey, encompassing everything from the first interaction on our website to regulated verification processes and the initial conversion.

What you'll do
- Develop and enhance the Growth organization by recruiting, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing team that includes Product Managers, Product Designers, Product Marketing specialists, and dedicated Website Teams, all while fostering a culture of ownership and rapid execution.
- Take charge of the Macro Growth Strategy by defining the long-term vision and product roadmap for all critical acquisition points, which encompass website experience, registration processes, regulated KYC/AML verification, marketing technology, and referral systems.
- Foster a culture of Continuous Experimentation by creating sophisticated frameworks for experimentation, drop-off diagnostics, and conversion optimization, facilitating extensive A/B testing across all growth touchpoints.
- Ensure Executive and Stakeholder Alignment by working closely with the General Manager, Engineering Leadership, Organic Growth teams, Performance Marketing, and Regional Country Managers to make data-driven decisions regarding the backlog and align cross-functional growth strategies.
- Drive Delivery at Scale by managing the entire product lifecycle within the growth domain, translating strategic opportunities into scalable architecture, detailed feature specifications, and rapid deployment cycles in collaboration with Engineering and Design teams.
- Analyze user behavior and market trends to inform product development and growth strategies, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and responsive to user needs.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of growth initiatives, continuously optimizing strategies based on data insights.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective campaigns that resonate with target audiences, driving user acquisition and engagement.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Growth organization.
- Represent the Growth Product organization in executive meetings, articulating strategic plans and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Bitpanda remains at the forefront of innovation in the fintech space.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, specifically within B2C digital or fintech platforms.
- At least 4 years of direct experience in people management, including the hiring, development, and leadership of Product Manager teams.
- Proven expertise in conversion optimization, particularly in high-stakes, regulated user onboarding processes (KYC/AML) and consumer activation funnels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform funnel diagnostics, assess unit economics, and utilize ROI-driven data frameworks to inform strategic decisions and capital allocation.
- Exceptional executive presence, with a demonstrated ability to align C-level stakeholders, Engineering, Compliance, Marketing, and Regional teams around common delivery objectives.
- Experience in navigating fast-paced, high-pressure environments while balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution within the organization.
