About the role
You will own the end-to-end accounting cycle for assigned subsidiaries, driving accurate and timely month-end and year-end close activities from execution through sign-off. You will own the preparation and review of complex journal entries, detailed account reconciliations, and accrual calculations to ensure financial integrity. You will own the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all digital asset and fiat transactions are recorded in strict accordance with U.S. GAAP. You will own the coordination of month-end and year-end close processes across our international subsidiaries, driving consistency and efficiency. You will own the management of multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange transaction accounting to ensure precise reporting. You will own the reconciliation and elimination processes for intercompany transactions to maintain clean corporate unit views. You will own the support and preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits, ensuring full compliance with audit requirements and deadlines. You will own the recommendation and implementation of improvements to accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls to enhance reliability and efficiency. You will own adherence to internal controls, company policies, and SOX compliance where applicable, safeguarding company assets. You will own close collaboration with AP, AR, FP&A, and other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information for decision-making.
Key facts
What you'll do
Perform and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals for month-end and year-end close.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports to support management decision-making and regulatory obligations.
Manage multi-currency accounting functions and foreign exchange transactions to ensure accurate translation and reporting.
Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities across international subsidiaries to consolidate results efficiently.
Handle intercompany reconciliations and eliminations to resolve discrepancies and maintain clean financial records.
Support the preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements and timelines.
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and SOX requirements to mitigate financial and operational risk.
Work closely with AP, AR, FP&A, and other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information and reporting.
Provide support for special projects, system implementations, and process automation efforts to improve financial operations.
Adopt a proactive approach to identify variances, investigate root causes, and drive corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure the integrity of financial data used for internal and external reporting through rigorous analysis and attention to detail.
Demonstrate ownership of deadlines and deliverables to support the overall financial close calendar and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry. Experience in inventory management is a plus.
Experience in a publicly traded technology, fintech, SaaS, or digital asset company a plus.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
Strong foreign exchange transactions knowledge and application.
Strong intercompany reconciliation and elimination experience.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial processes.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support the finance team as needed.
Nice to have
Experience in month-end close, audit support, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with consolidation, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency accounting is a plus.

Contract to hire position with a 6-month initial term.
Location in Palo Alto, California requires compliance with local work authorization and eligibility to work in the United States.
