What you'll do
- Design and develop system architectures that meet project specifications and requirements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate various system components effectively.
- Conduct thorough system testing and validation to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
- Participate in the development of project documentation, including system design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

- Lead project meetings and presentations to communicate system design and implementation strategies to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including security protocols and best practices.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish testing protocols and ensure that all systems meet quality standards before deployment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in systems modeling and simulation tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience with configuration management tools and practices, ensuring system integrity throughout the lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and their application in systems engineering.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, particularly in relation to systems design and implementation.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, facilitating continuous integration and delivery.
- Certifications in relevant fields, such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
