BillionToOne is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Prenatal division within the DMV area, which includes Maryland, Washington D.C., and Eastern Virginia. This on-site role requires a candidate with a strong background in Women's Health sales management, particularly in prenatal diagnostics or reproductive health. The primary responsibility is to lead and develop a sales team dedicated to promoting the company's innovative single-gene non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and aneuploidy screening solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding the company's presence in the region by building relationships with healthcare providers, educating them on the benefits of BillionToOne's offerings, and driving sales growth. What you'll do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the DMV region, focusing on increasing market share and brand awareness among healthcare providers.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, genetic counselors, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
- Conduct in-depth product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions to effectively communicate the value and clinical benefits of BillionToOne's prenatal testing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and clinical teams to develop targeted outreach campaigns and educational materials that resonate with healthcare providers in the region.
- Analyze regional sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and areas requiring strategic adjustments.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics regularly, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Attend regional conferences, industry events, and professional meetings to promote the company's products and expand professional networks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company policies during sales activities and customer interactions.
- Work with the clinical team to gather feedback from providers and incorporate insights into sales strategies and product positioning.
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively, ensuring timely follow-up with prospects and customers to maximize conversion rates.
- Represent BillionToOne professionally and ethically, maintaining the company's reputation and fostering trust within the healthcare community.
- Assist in developing and executing territory expansion plans, including identifying new potential clients and markets within the DMV area.
- Stay informed about advancements in prenatal diagnostics, genomics, and reproductive health to maintain a high level of industry knowledge.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience managing field sales teams in molecular diagnostics, genetics, or related healthcare sectors, with a focus on Women's Health, prenatal diagnostics, or reproductive health.
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing sales teams, with a track record of achieving or surpassing sales goals.
- Existing relationships with healthcare providers in the DMV region, including obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and genetic counselors.
- Experience in laboratory diagnostics or genetic testing sales is essential, with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and provider needs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic sales plans, analyze data, and adapt strategies based on market insights.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a startup environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency in CRM software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the DMV region as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Ability to understand and articulate the clinical value of genomic testing and diagnostics.
