About the role
BillionToOne is on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual to fill the role of Oncology Account Executive in Washington D.C. This position is pivotal in promoting our innovative Northstar Liquid biopsy products and services, establishing and nurturing relationships with oncologists and the wider cancer care community. The role is primarily field-based and reports directly to the Regional Manager

What you'll do
- Engage directly with oncologists and healthcare providers to drive sales growth and expand market presence.
- Create and implement a comprehensive business strategy aimed at rapidly boosting revenue within your designated territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening existing client relationships.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to educate healthcare professionals about our liquid biopsy solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and customer needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and enhance sales tactics.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on insights gathered from healthcare providers.
- Attend industry conferences and networking events to promote our brand and build professional relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to track progress against targets and objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of the oncology landscape and the specific needs of healthcare professionals.
- Foster a consultative sales approach, assessing the unique needs of medical professionals to tailor solutions effectively.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- A proven track record in sales, with recognition such as Presidents Club or similar honors.
- Experience in selling to healthcare professionals is essential.
- A background in medical diagnostics or medical/surgical devices is crucial for success in this role.
- Candidates should reside within the assigned territory and be strategically located to access key accounts.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the designated region is necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required for effective presentations.
- Demonstrated time management skills with a history of prioritizing tasks and opportunities effectively.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented individuals will thrive in this role.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships and closing sales.
- Ability to act decisively and maintain a focus on achieving sales goals.
- A consultative sales approach is necessary, with the capability to assess the needs of medical professionals and coordinate logistics efficiently.
- Candidates with backgrounds as a Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Registered Nurse (RN) who have experience in ordering late-stage cancer liquid biopsy tests will also be considered.

- Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus, as it demonstrates adaptability and resourcefulness.
- Familiarity with oncology-specific sales processes and terminology can provide an advantage.
- Experience utilizing analytical tools for market assessment and sales strategy development is beneficial.

Practical notes
- The compensation package for this role ranges from $241,946 to $311,536 annually, which includes a base salary of $168,346 to $184,186, depending on experience.
- The commission structure is uncapped, offering significant earning potential based on performance.
