Growth Lead
Job description
Growth Lead at Beacon Software.
About the role
You will design and execute a portfolio of high-leverage growth experiments for a focused pod of three to four recently acquired companies across diverse verticals such as education, industrials, and parks & recreation. Acting as a fractional head of growth, you will own the end-to-end process of discovering opportunities, translating user and product insights into testable hypotheses, and launching rapid experiments that meaningfully impact revenue. Your daily work will blend creative ideation with rigorous analysis, allowing you to write compelling copy, brainstorm video concepts, and build dashboards while also diving deep into investment memos and business models. You will build reusable systems, including playbooks, automation, and internal Claude skills, that empower less technical GMs to run disciplined experiments on their own. Ultimately, you will function as a strategic growth partner who can walk into any business, ask the right questions with minimal context, and quickly ship channels and loops that scale across the portfolio.
Key facts
What you'll do
Meet with your pod leader and portfolio company GMs to align product direction with user learnings and co-create ambitious growth experiments.
Prioritize and launch experiments that directly drive revenue, testing channels, offers, and positioning with speed and rigor.
Map and optimize growth loops at portfolio companies, identifying bottlenecks and designing interventions that compound over time.
Track and improve conversion at every major step of the marketing funnel, using data to guide iterative improvements.
Build systems, playbooks, and lightweight tools that enable less technical GMs to run GTM experiments independently and at scale.
Conduct deep dives into business fundamentals, reading investment memoranda and financial models to inform long-term GTM strategy.
Hire and mentor other great growth people, shaping the next generation of portfolio company GTM leadership.
Partner with product and design teams to run cross-functional initiatives that turn insights into shipped experiments.
Leverage an ample LLM token budget to prototype copy, automate analysis, and accelerate learning cycles.
Balance artsy and sciencey work, moving fluidly between writing copy and brainstorming video ideas while also modeling unit economics and channel performance.
Requirements

You must be capable of clear, concise writing that can persuade executives and stakeholders with minimal friction.
You must be comfortable saying no to the wrong priorities and defending a disciplined portfolio of experiments.
You must be versatile enough to be dangerous with a variety of tools, but not a man-with-a-hammer who reaches for technology first.
You must have enough vibe-coding skills to build internal tools and dashboards quickly, even if you do not have a software engineering background.
A background in software engineering or finance is a plus, but prior experience in those fields is not required.
Nice to have
Prior experience owning growth for enterprise B2B businesses or high-value B2C services.
Deep familiarity with AI-native tooling and prompt engineering to supercharge GTM workflows.
