Member of GTM Staff
Job description
Member of GTM Staff at Beacon Software.
About the role
You will own the end to end growth strategy for one or more portfolio companies, translating raw product value into scalable revenue engines. This role requires you to diagnose weak spots in existing go to market motion and design bold experiments that unlock new demand. You will act as a fractional leader, stepping into board rooms and war rooms to challenge assumptions and raise the ambition of every growth plan. You will leverage first principles thinking to rebuild playbooks from the ground up instead of patching outdated tactics. Every decision you make will directly move the needle on pipeline, conversion, or retention. You will also evangelize the power of AI native tooling to automate repetitive work and amplify the impact of lean teams. Ultimately, you will be the growth conscience of the business, ensuring that actions are grounded in evidence, clarity, and ruthless prioritization.

Requirements
You must have a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a B2B environment over multiple years. You have shipped campaigns that moved significant revenue and can point to specific numbers you influenced. You are comfortable reading dense investment memos and translating strategic intent into operational plans. You have worked with enterprise sales cycles and understand how to influence stakeholders without direct authority. You write with precision and can craft messages that resonate with technical and executive audiences. You are skeptical of surface level metrics and build systems that distinguish correlation from causation. You have experience building and iterating on growth experiments from ideation through analysis. You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and rapidly updating your views based on new evidence.

Experience working with portfolio companies or private equity backed businesses.
Practical notes
This is a full time onsite role based in San Francisco, California. The position requires significant travel between portfolio companies as needed to support growth initiatives. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. Applicants must be able to start within four weeks of receiving an offer.
About the team
You will join a tight knit group of operators who thrive on autonomy and ownership. The team moves quickly, expects rigorous thinking, and rewards execution above process. You will collaborate closely with founders who built category defining businesses and are now scaling them with disciplined growth methods. The environment rewards curiosity, transparency, and candor in equal measure.
Impact and growth
This role offers direct exposure to multiple industries and business models, giving you a breadth of perspective rarely found in larger organizations. You will build a portfolio of case studies that demonstrate your ability to move the needle under different conditions. The role includes a significant budget for experimentation, enabling you to test ideas without unnecessary friction. Your work will be visible to senior leadership and investors, creating opportunities for career growth within the Beacon ecosystem. Long term, this role can evolve into a portfolio wide growth leadership position for the right candidate.
Day to day rhythm
A typical week includes deep discovery sessions with product teams, design critiques of growth concepts, and analytical reviews of experiment results. You will spend time in ad hoc working sessions with founders to pressure test ideas and refine positioning. You will also carve out focused time to read, model scenarios, and plan multi quarter roadmaps. Communication is primarily asynchronous, with concise written updates replacing lengthy meetings.
Decision making
You are empowered to propose, test, and iterate on growth strategies after engaging with the right stakeholders. Decisions are driven by evidence, but speed and learning are highly valued. You are expected to document your reasoning so that others can learn from your experiments.
Collaboration style
You will work with founders and operators who appreciate directness and clarity. You are expected to bring solutions, not just problems, to every discussion. You will challenge the status constructively and invite others to challenge your ideas. Candor is seen as a form of respect.
Risk and ownership
You will be entrusted with high stakes responsibilities and expected to act with judgment and integrity. You will own outcomes, not just outputs, and be comfortable explaining the reasoning behind your choices. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities when they are shared and analyzed openly.
Why Beacon
You will work for a business focused software group that is building the infrastructure for the everyday economy. You will have access to capital, data, and talent that most early stage teams can only dream about. You will be part of a mission to make niche businesses more resilient and competitive in the long term. The role blends creativity, analysis, and execution in a way that keeps the work engaging and meaningful.
