About the role

As a Site Engineer at Bamboohr, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all engineering and construction activities are executed in accordance with the project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. What you'll do

• Oversee daily construction operations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop project plans and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to design specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, including progress updates, challenges, and solutions.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify any discrepancies and address them promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring that expenditures remain within limits.
• Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues that could impact project timelines or costs.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure that all construction activities are performed in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff as needed.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on engineering-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering or construction management.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar applications.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with international construction projects or working in multicultural environments.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green construction techniques.
• Professional certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Greek or Turkish, is advantageous.
