What you'll do
- Lead the identification and evaluation of potential strategic partnerships and acquisition targets that align with Bamboohr's growth strategy.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform decision-making and identify emerging trends in the industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations, to assess the feasibility and strategic fit of potential transactions.
- Prepare and present detailed business cases and proposals to senior management and the board of directors for approval.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of strategic agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk management practices.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of strategic initiatives post-implementation, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including industry partners, investment firms, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact strategic transactions and advise the leadership team accordingly.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings to foster collaboration and ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
- Support the development of strategic frameworks and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of the transaction process.
- Assist in the preparation of strategic reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the overall strategic planning process by providing insights and recommendations based on transaction outcomes and market conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate development, or mergers and acquisitions within a relevant industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex transactions from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results and strategic outcomes.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience in the technology or fintech sectors is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance issues related to strategic transactions.
- Multilingual capabilities, particularly in Greek or other regional languages, would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a consulting role or with a leading investment bank is a plus.
