Bbf is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Limassol, Cyprus. What you'll do
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, gather data, and ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress and discussing challenges with the project team.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions, utilizing engineering principles and software tools.
- Assist in the evaluation of materials and equipment for use in projects, ensuring they meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Contribute to the development of project schedules and budgets, tracking progress and reporting any discrepancies to the project manager.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance your engineering skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with other disciplines, such as environmental and structural engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including changes and decisions made during the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A foundational understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, with coursework or internships providing relevant experience.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek or other languages is an advantage.
Nice to have
- Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Membership in a professional engineering organization, such as ASCE or similar.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments or sustainability practices in engineering.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with engineering analysis software, such as SAP2000 or similar.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
