About the role

Basic Capital is seeking an Enterprise and Strategic Accounts Leader to spearhead the go-to-market strategy for its next-generation retirement platform designed to disrupt the traditional $1 trillion retirement industry. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end sales cycle for the most strategic and high-value corporate logos, acting as the primary driver of revenue and category validation within the enterprise segment. This role requires a builder who is comfortable operating with significant autonomy to navigate complex buying committees and execute high-stakes negotiations that define a new market category. You will be responsible for translating early product-market fit into scalable enterprise motion, ensuring that the value proposition resonates with leadership at innovative, high-growth technology companies. The position demands a unique blend of strategic vision and operational discipline to refine positioning, pricing, and packaging in a fast-evolving market. What you'll do

• Own the full enterprise sales cycle from initial discovery to contract signing, driving complex deals to closure with precision and discipline.
• Secure strategic logos such as Figma, Anthropic, Stripe, and Coinbase, validating the product category and establishing Basic Capital as a market leader.
• Architect and deploy a repeatable enterprise sales motion by developing messaging, positioning frameworks, and objection handling strategies that de-risk the buying process.
• Lead high-stakes negotiations with multiple stakeholders and buying committees, balancing technical, financial, and HR considerations to secure favorable outcomes.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to translate enterprise buyer feedback into actionable insights that shape the roadmap and feature development.
• Serve as the primary voice of the customer within the organization, analyzing win/loss patterns to identify friction points and stalled opportunities in the sales pipeline.
• Define and refine pricing, packaging, and contract structures in collaboration with leadership to ensure scalability and alignment with market dynamics.
• Build and optimize sales playbooks, transforming early wins into documented processes that enable consistent execution and rapid onboarding of new team members.
• Operate as an owner by navigating ambiguity with speed, discipline, and creativity, ensuring all cross-functional teams align to close enterprise deals efficiently.
• Represent Basic Capital with executive-level presence, confidence, and conviction in all external interactions, reinforcing the brand's promise of innovation and reliability.
• Identify and cultivate relationships within high-value networks in HR, Finance, and Executive Leadership to generate pipeline and accelerate enterprise adoption.
• Analyze competitive landscape dynamics to position the retirement platform as a demonstrably better alternative to existing solutions like Empower.
• Establish trust and credibility with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, aligning retirement strategy with broader business objectives and employee value propositions.
• Drive the creation of scalable sales tools and enablement resources that empower the broader organization to execute the enterprise vision consistently.

Requirements

• Must possess extensive experience closing enterprise and strategic accounts within complex B2B sales environments that involve long cycle lengths and multiple decision-makers.
• Demonstrated ability to execute discovery, qualification, and deal execution skills with a high degree of professionalism and strategic thinking.
• Proven capacity to navigate multi-stakeholder enterprise buying processes, managing competing priorities and aligning diverse interests toward a common goal.
• Must exhibit comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build and iterate within an early-stage environment where processes are not fully defined.
• Strong collaboration skills are essential, with a history of productive cross-functional partnerships with Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive initiatives forward.
• Experience must include a track record of selling sophisticated financial, HR, or benefits technology solutions to enterprise customers.
• Preferred candidates will have direct familiarity with 401(k) plan dynamics, retirement plan switching mechanics, and the regulatory considerations inherent in the space.
• Must have a history of selling into high-growth technology companies that operate at scale and have sophisticated procurement and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a strong network within HR, Finance, and C-Suite circles across multiple industries.
• Requirement to have actively contributed to the creation of sales playbooks, battle cards, and enablement materials rather than solely executing against established scripts.
• Must hold a proven ability to manage large, multi-phase deals where contractual, legal, and financial considerations are intricate and require careful navigation.
• Experience operating with ownership mentality is mandatory, showing initiative in identifying problems and driving solutions without requiring constant direction.
• The candidate must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex value propositions to executive-level audiences.
• Demonstrated resilience and a bias for action are required, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands adaptability and creative problem-solving.
