About the role
The role represents a senior strategic position within the Finance function where you act as a trusted partner to the CFO and Finance Leadership Team. You will own the coordination of priorities, communication, and initiatives across the Finance Leadership Team, serving as a central point of integration for all finance activities. You are responsible for developing and executing the Finance strategy and annual operating plan while establishing and maintaining functional key performance indicators and their reporting cadence. A core part of your ownership involves identifying risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges while proactively supporting the development of mitigation plans. You will lead the planning and coordination of Finance leadership meetings, strategy sessions, and offsites to ensure alignment and shared purpose. The position requires you to prepare executive presentations, papers, business cases, and decision-making materials that influence senior leadership direction. You will support resource planning, budgeting, and investment prioritisation across Finance to ensure optimal allocation of resources.

What you'll do
Lead on coordinating priorities, communication and initiatives across the Finance Leadership Team, acting as the central point of co-ordination for all initiatives.
Support the development, implementation, and execution of the Finance strategy and annual operating plan to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Develop, maintain, and report on Finance functional key performance indicators to provide clear visibility into performance and progress.
Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges within the finance domain and support the creation of robust mitigation plans.
Lead the planning, organisation, and facilitation of Finance leadership meetings, strategy sessions, and offsites to foster collaboration and decision-making.
Prepare high-level executive presentations, papers, business cases, and decision-making materials to support senior leadership discussions.
Support resource planning, budgeting, and investment prioritisation across Finance to optimise the use of financial and human capital.
Maintain and drive delivery of the Finance transformation roadmap, ensuring initiatives are delivered on schedule and to the required standard.
Support optimisation and benefits realisation activities related to Dynamics 365 implementations and future technology investments within Finance.
Identify opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies to enhance Finance processes and decision-making.
Lead process improvement and simplification initiatives that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and improved user experience across finance operations.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and data-driven insights to elevate the commercial impact and scalability of the Finance function.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure finance solutions are fit for purpose and deliver tangible business value.
Act as a senior representative for the Finance function in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring finance perspectives are integrated into broader transformation programmes.
Requirements
Be an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of delivering transformation and business improvement in a complex environment.
Hold a professional accounting qualification or equivalent finance expertise that demonstrates a deep understanding of finance principles and practices.
Possess strong experience in managing stakeholder relationships and influencing at senior levels without direct line management responsibility.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of finance systems, processes, and data, including experience with Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise platforms.
Show a proven ability to develop strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and manage the delivery of complex initiatives.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling executive-level materials.
Show strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the confidence to interpret data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
Be committed to fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Finance function and across the wider organisation.
Nice to have
Experience of working in a professional services or consulting environment on transformation programmes.
Knowledge of AI applications and emerging technologies within a finance context.
Experience with change management and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
