About the role
You will partner with C-suite leaders to design and deliver large-scale operational transformation programmes that fundamentally improve performance and resilience. You will own the end-to-end delivery of process excellence initiatives, applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Process Intelligence to diagnose, redesign, and implement sustainable change. You will leverage advanced data analytics and intelligent automation to build future-ready operations that are both efficient and adaptable. You will act as a trusted advisor, challenging the status quo and guiding clients through complex change with confidence and clarity. You will embed data-driven decision-making and AI-enabled BPM to ensure that improvements are measurable, scalable, and lasting. You will contribute to the growth of our Sofia practice by developing new business opportunities and supporting internal capability-building initiatives. You will work across diverse sectors including financial services, energy and resources, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, manufacturing, government and public sector, and consumer products and retail.

What you'll do
Lead end-to-end delivery of operational excellence and process transformation programmes from initial assessment through to full-scale implementation and sustainment.
Apply Process Intelligence, data analytics, and automation design to uncover root causes of performance gaps and quantify the impact of potential improvements.
Develop and execute detailed process maps, capability assessments, and future-state designs that align with client strategy and operational realities.
Partner with technology teams to implement AI and automation solutions that scale operational benefits and enhance process reliability.
Define and track KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to monitor performance, de-risk execution, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders at all levels to gather insights, build alignment, and co-create solutions.
Support the development of business cases, value realization plans, and implementation roadmaps that balance speed with long-term capability building.
Coach client teams on Lean principles, process discipline, and behavioural change to foster ownership and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues across practices to integrate operational excellence with broader transformation, digital, and technology initiatives.
Translate complex client challenges into structured workstreams, clear hypotheses, and practical recommendations that deliver tangible outcomes.
Contribute to thought leadership and marketing activities that enhance Baringa's reputation in operational excellence and process intelligence.
Identify and prioritise opportunities for new business, helping to shape compelling proposals and work plans for prospective clients.
Champion the use of data and AI-enabled BPM to ensure that improvements are embedded, auditable, and optimised over time.
Act as an ambassador for the Sofia team, supporting cross-office collaboration and contributing to the growth of the local practice.
Requirements
You possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with a strong academic background in engineering, economics, business, or a related technical field.
You bring a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or process intelligence roles.
You have hands-on experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to deliver measurable performance improvements in complex environments.
You are fluent in process mapping, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and capability assessments across multiple functions and levels.
You have experience designing, testing, and implementing automation and AI-enabled solutions that drive scalable operational benefits.
You are comfortable working with data, interpreting performance metrics, and using data to drive decisions and communicate impact.
You have a proven track record of managing end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, planning, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
You communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, and are able to influence without direct authority.
