Senior Consultant - Technology, Data & Digital Transformation in Energy and Commodities Trading

About the role

You will own the design and delivery of technology, data, and digital transformation initiatives for energy and commodities trading clients across Asia from our Singapore hub. You will shape technology strategy and define future operating models that place data and AI at the heart of trading decision-making. You will lead the design of trading operating models and business workflows, ensuring that technology and data capabilities are embedded at every stage. You will support clients in strengthening data foundations, modernizing reporting and analytics, and enabling better decision-making across front, middle, and back-office functions. You will identify practical applications for automation and AI to improve trading processes, controls, and user workflows in fast-paced environments. You will design risk management and control frameworks that support resilient, scalable, and technology-enabled trading operations on complex projects.

What you'll do

Design and deliver end-to-end technology, data, and digital transformation initiatives for energy and commodities trading clients in Asia.

Shape technology strategy, platform roadmaps, and transformation plans aligned with trading business objectives and market demands.

Strengthen data foundations, improve reporting and analytics, and enable better decision-making across front, middle, and back-office trading functions.

Select and implement trading systems, advising clients on structuring implementation programmes, with a focus on CTRM and ETRM platforms.

Identify and drive practical applications for automation and AI to enhance trading processes, controls, and user workflows.

Design risk management and control frameworks that ensure resilient, scalable, and technology-enabled trading operations.

Support project workstreams, including planning, tracking actions, and helping to manage risks and issues throughout project lifecycles.

Produce high-quality project deliverables while ensuring the quality of output for team members and maintaining project standards.

Build trusted working relationships with key project stakeholders through clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.

Engage in internal 'grow our business' activities, contributing to business development, knowledge sharing, and capability building within the firm.

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic background and intellectual curiosity.

You possess 2 to 4 years of experience in consulting, technology, data, or digital transformation within relevant industry contexts.

You demonstrate a genuine interest in energy and commodities trading markets and an appetite to build deep expertise in this sector.

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical technology and data solutions.

You bring excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels and articulate technical concepts clearly.

You show ownership and accountability, driving projects forward and taking responsibility for quality and delivery against commitments.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing client needs.

You collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, aligning closely with colleagues to ensure integrated and coherent project outcomes.

Nice to have

Experience with trading systems, CTRM or ETRM platforms, or energy and commodities operations would be advantageous if present.

Hands-on experience with data platforms, analytics tools, or AI/Automation technologies would strengthen your contribution to transformation initiatives.

Understanding of regulatory and risk management considerations in trading environments would support your delivery in this context.

Practical notes

This role is based in Singapore and is open to candidates who are able to work in this location.

Travel may be required within the Asia region to support client projects as needed.

Visa sponsorship may be required for non-local candidates depending on engagement terms.
