What you'll do
Lead comprehensive policy assessments focused on Medicare Part B physician-administered therapies and the 340B program, identifying key trends and their implications for stakeholders.
Develop sophisticated regulatory and legislative strategies that address drug pricing policy discussions at the federal and state levels, ensuring alignment with Avalere Health's client objectives.
Analyze Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part B and D policy and payment structures, translating complex rules into clear insights for advisory products.
Conduct quantitative modeling of proposed and enacted policies to forecast impacts on pharmaceutical manufacturers, managed care plans, providers, pharmacies, PBMs, and consumers.
Create compelling narrative and data-driven deliverables that communicate the potential outcomes of policy changes to cross-functional client teams.
Collaborate with medical and advisory teams to integrate deep subject-matter expertise into practical solutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
Monitor the evolving landscape of benefit design and coverage in public and private payers, assessing how shifts affect patient access and treatment pathways.
Provide thought leadership on Medicaid and state health policies, expanding the team's ability to address a broad range of client challenges.
Support the development of legislative strategies that anticipate regulatory changes and position clients for proactive decision-making.

Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrating a foundational understanding of health policy, economics, or a related quantitative field.
You have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in health policy, with a demonstrated track record of analyzing Medicare and pharmaceutical policy landscapes.
You are highly proficient in quantitative methods and statistical analysis, allowing you to interpret complex datasets and translate them into strategic insights.
You have direct experience evaluating the implications of federal and state drug pricing policies and their effects on stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum.
You hold a strong understanding of Medicare Part B and D structures, including payment models, benefit design, and the regulatory frameworks that govern them.
You bring specialized knowledge of the 340B program and its implications for covered entities and pharmaceutical pricing strategies.
You have a proven ability to synthesize medical and scientific information into clear, concise policy recommendations for executive-level audiences.

Preferred experience in oncology policy, specifically related to drug access, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks for therapies treating cancer patients.

Experience supporting clients that manufacture or distribute pharmaceutical therapies through complex distribution channels.
