About the role
The Associate Project Manager owns the end to end execution of project lifecycles from initiation through closure for a portfolio of low and mid complexity engagements. They translate client objectives into actionable plans, aligning internal resources and agency partners to deliver on time and within scope. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and proactive issue resolution at every stage. The APM acts as a key liaison between Avalere Health teams and agency counterparts to foster collaboration and drive cohesive solutions. They are responsible for anticipating risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and maintaining project momentum to achieve exceptional results. In addition, the APM begins managing project finances by developing estimates, tracking budgets, and supporting broader agency financial processes. Through this role, they contribute directly to advancing Avalere's mission of ensuring every patient is identified, treated, supported, and cared for equally.

What you'll do
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure efficient execution across client accounts.
Develop detailed project plans that clarify roles, milestones, and success criteria for low and mid complexity initiatives.
Lead status updates and reporting, keeping internal and external stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and decisions.
Partner with account, creative, finance, strategy, and technology teams to align resources and maintain project quality.
Support the identification and management of project risks, escalating issues when necessary to protect timelines and outcomes.
Translate client requirements into actionable tasks that guide the work of multidisciplinary Avalere teams.
Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing accurate forecasts and supporting financial oversight for assigned engagements.
Facilitate collaboration between Avalere staff and agency partners to maintain a unified approach to problem solving.
Contribute to the development of project documentation, including plans, trackers, and summaries for client review.
Help scale project management practices across accounts, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement in delivery.
Support the execution of large scale projects by providing oversight and coordinating cross-team activities as needed.
Leverage Avalere's global network and flexible work models to optimize collaboration across offices and remote locations.
