About the role
This position serves as the global leader for learning and development at Avalere Health, responsible for architecting and executing the enterprise learning strategy. The role owner will translate the company's People Strategy and the Every Patient Possible mission into concrete, engaging learning experiences for colleagues worldwide. You will own the design, delivery, and measurement of learning initiatives that build critical leadership and capability across the business. This leader will forge deep partnerships with senior People and business leaders to align learning with organizational performance goals. The role requires fostering a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and growth among all employees. You will ensure learning programs are accessible, measurable, and embedded into the daily workflow of the organization. Ultimately, this position drives the capability building necessary to support Avalere's mission of reaching every patient possible.

What you'll do
Spearhead the conception, development, and implementation of a global learning strategy that advances Avalere Health's Every Patient Possible mission.
Champion a culture of continuous learning by partnering with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and accelerate organizational performance.
Design and deliver engaging, accessible, and measurable learning experiences that are integrated into the everyday work of global teams.
Collaborate with People and business stakeholders to strengthen leadership capability and build the skills required for current and future business needs.
Own the end-to-end learning lifecycle, from needs analysis and solution design to implementation and impact evaluation.
Leverage data and insights to refine learning programs and demonstrate their value to the business and its stakeholders.
Curate and leverage diverse learning resources and platforms to create a flexible and inclusive learning environment for all employees.
Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global offices to ensure consistency and cohesion in learning outcomes.
Support the development of inclusive learning pathways that enable every employee to grow and thrive in their roles.
Act as a global thought leader for learning and development, influencing strategy and practice across the Avalere Health network.
Champion innovative learning methodologies and technologies to enhance engagement and effectiveness of training initiatives.
Foster a mindset of continuous improvement by iterating on learning programs based on feedback and measurable results.
Build strong relationships with internal departments to ensure learning solutions align with strategic objectives and operational needs.
Drive the creation of learning content that reflects Avalere's inclusive culture and supports diverse ways of working.
Requirements
You must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship, as this is a permanent position based in London.
You possess a proven track record of developing and scaling learning and development programs in a global, matrixed environment.
You have extensive experience collaborating with senior business and People leaders to drive organizational change and capability development.
You demonstrate expertise in designing learning solutions that are engaging, accessible, and aligned with measurable business outcomes.
You show a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive culture where every employee feels empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
You have a deep understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them to create impactful learning experiences.
You are comfortable leveraging data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and inform future strategies.
You exhibit strong strategic thinking, communication, and influence skills at the executive level.
Nice to have
Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
Familiarity with disability confidence and inclusive design principles is highly valued.
Knowledge of learning management systems and modern learning technologies is advantageous.
Experience with global rollout of learning programs across diverse regions and cultures.
Practical notes
This is a permanent, full-time role based in London.
The position may involve hybrid work arrangements, with the flexibility to work from home or office based on team and client needs.
Major city hubs in London, Manchester, Washington D.C., and New York, and smaller offices globally, serve as collaboration hubs allowing teams to come together when necessary.
