About the role
You will own the strategic direction and execution of complex evidence generation initiatives for life sciences clients as a Principal within the Evidence & Strategy practice. This role requires you to lead qualitative and quantitative research projects that shape critical decisions around patient access, treatment value, and market positioning. You will be responsible for designing studies, interpreting complex data, and translating findings into compelling strategic narratives for executive stakeholders. A significant portion of your work will involve leveraging advanced analytics to explore real-world evidence from Medicare and other data sources to uncover meaningful patient and payer insights. You will also act as a key business developer, identifying new opportunities and cultivating long-term partnerships with clients in the life sciences sector. Ultimately, you will guide cross-functional teams to deliver actionable recommendations that demonstrate the tangible impact and value of healthcare interventions.

What you'll do
Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of sophisticated qualitative and quantitative research projects that address critical evidence gaps for life sciences clients.
Develop and maintain deep subject matter expertise in health economics and outcomes research, ensuring that evidence strategies align with evolving client needs and regulatory landscapes.
Utilize advanced programming skills in SAS, R, and other languages to access, clean, and analyze complex datasets, including CMS, commercial, and social determinant of health data.
Generate innovative solutions and strategic recommendations that help clients articulate the value and impact of their products and programs.
Champion evidence generation initiatives that support key strategic decisions related to market access, pricing, and reimbursement.
Cultivate strong, consultative relationships with clients by providing thought leadership and proactive guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within the life sciences industry to drive growth for the Evidence & Strategy practice.
Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and high-quality output.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights from medical, advisory, and marketing perspectives into cohesive evidence strategies.
Ensure all project deliverables meet rigorous standards of accuracy, transparency, and strategic relevance for decision-makers.
Apply analytical rigor to evaluate intervention designs, implementation frameworks, and outcome measurements across diverse healthcare settings.
Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, translating complex data findings into clear, actionable narratives.
Drive the adoption of best practices in evidence generation and value communication across client engagements.
Contribute to the growth and reputation of the Evidence & Strategy practice by demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and client service.
Requirements
You must have successfully worked in life sciences consultancy supporting life sciences initiatives in qualitative and quantitative research, health economics & outcomes research, and evidence strategy and claims analyses.
You must possess extensive experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research using a variety of methodologies.
You must demonstrate strong programming skills, particularly in SAS and R, for accessing and analyzing claims data from sources such as Medicare and commercial datasets.
You must have a proven track record of conducting and leading healthcare research studies that inform strategic decision-making.
You must show deep knowledge of developing and interpreting evidence to communicate value for life sciences products and interventions.
You must have experience designing, measuring, and evaluating interventions, initiatives, and implementation strategies from multiple stakeholder perspectives.
You must be capable of generating novel solutions for clients and leveraging subject matter expertise to create innovative evidence-based strategies.
You must have the ability to lead projects in a leadership capacity while balancing project delivery and business development responsibilities.
