Automox is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to manage key financial operations within the organization. This role is critical for upholding the financial integrity and health of the company through diligent oversight of billing, collections, and cash application processes. You will operate in a collaborative, remote-first environment where your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and financial accuracy. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage complex financial workflows with minimal supervision. Your work will ensure that the company maintains strong cash flow and accurate financial reporting.

What you'll do
Manage the complete accounts receivable cycle, encompassing invoicing for new business, expansions, contract changes, renewals, and usage overages to ensure comprehensive financial coverage.
Implement customer-focused collection strategies designed to secure timely payments and consistently meet or exceed cash collection goals while utilizing NetSuite and Tesorio platforms effectively.
Accurately record customer payments through various channels including ACH, wire transfer, credit card, and Stripe, diligently resolving any discrepancies or instances of unapplied cash.
Process credit and debit memos with precision, monitor customer credit limits rigorously, and guarantee that all adjustments are meticulously documented for auditability.
Analyze accounts receivable trends, aging reports, and collection performance metrics thoroughly to provide actionable insights aimed at improving cash flow and mitigating financial risk.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, performing detailed AR account reconciliations and verifying the accuracy of all revenue-related transactions.
Support audit preparations by generating necessary schedules and reconciliations, providing prompt and accurate documentation for internal and external auditors as required.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and other interdepartmental teams to resolve billing issues efficiently and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for automation and the implementation of AI technologies to streamline AR workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
Maintain strict adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring all financial activities comply with regulatory standards and internal controls.
Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding AR matters, facilitating clear communication and problem resolution.
Leverage data analysis to forecast cash flow, identify potential collection issues early, and support strategic financial planning initiatives.
Ensure all documentation related to accounts receivable is complete, organized, and stored securely in accordance with company records management protocols.
Continuously seek process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts receivable function.
Utilize advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills to build robust financial models, track metrics, and automate repetitive tasks where possible.
Provide timely and accurate reporting to finance leadership to support decision-making and operational reviews.
Requirements
Possess 5 or more years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections roles, demonstrating a history of successfully managing complex AR functions in a professional setting.
Demonstrate proven proficiency with NetSuite ERP systems and SuiteBilling functionality, as this technical skill is essential for success in this position.
Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and offer practical, data-driven solutions to stakeholders.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-centric approach specifically in collections scenarios to preserve positive business relationships.
Show a high degree of independence, self-motivation, and discipline, with a proven ability to succeed and manage workloads effectively in a remote work environment.
Proficiently utilize Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to perform advanced financial analysis, reporting, and data manipulation on a regular basis.
Familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription billing mechanics, and recurring revenue concepts is preferred to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy orientation to minimize errors in financial processing and reporting.
Demonstrate integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information and company data on a daily basis.
Nice to have
Candidates with direct experience using business tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Tesorio, Gmail, and Stripe will have a distinct advantage in this role.
Experience working within a fully remote or distributed team environment is highly valued.
Knowledge of automation platforms and robotic process automation (RPA) is considered a preferred qualification.
An understanding of credit and collections best practices within the technology sector is beneficial.

This position is fully remote.
Automox does not currently hire in California or the New York metro area.
The base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 USD annually. Total compensation includes bonus, equity, and benefits.
Candidates must pass a federal, state, and county background check.
Candidates must complete a local in-person verification.
