What you'll do
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to create cohesive and innovative design solutions.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and project planning.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation for various project phases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Mentor junior architects and interns, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.

- Contribute to the firm's marketing efforts by participating in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Requirements
- A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and guiding junior staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid architectural license or the ability to obtain one in the state of Oregon is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with sustainable design certifications such as LEED or similar.
