Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. What you'll do

Complex technical problems are solved using strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GCP to advance the product and the company. Projects are led from start to finish to address real customer issues and deliver outcomes. High standards for performance, reliability, security, and scale are met through system architecture, and existing systems are re-architected as scaling demands increase. Attio's Product and Engineering values are represented internally and externally to align stakeholders.

Requirements

Designing scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems is required. Modern Cloud Native systems architecture knowledge is expected. A proactive, self-motivated problem-solving attitude with strong passion for distributed systems innovation is required. Technical ideas are communicated to the wider team, and influence is exerted across Engineering, Product, and Design.

Nice to have

Contributing to or participating in open source projects is preferred. Mentoring other team members is encouraged. Experience with data-rich backend applications or processing large volumes of real-time data is valued. A love for experimenting with new ideas, tools, techniques, and exploring new technologies is welcomed.

The position is based in London, and the work is full-time. Equity is offered in an early-stage company on a strong trajectory.
