We are looking for a Founding Product Lead to serve as the first operator for a new healthcare venture. This role is pivotal in guiding the early development of the company, focusing on product discovery, establishing relationships within a major academic health system, and helping shape the initial business model. You will be on the ground inside a large hospital system, working directly with hospital administrators, senior executives, and technical teams to identify key problems worth solving and to develop scalable solutions. The position requires someone who can operate with strong judgment, navigate ambiguity, and bridge the gap between healthcare operations, data analysis, and early-stage company building. Your efforts will directly influence the product's design, validation, and initial deployment, setting the foundation for future growth.

What you'll do
- Act as the founding operator for a new healthcare company, leading efforts from initial concept through early validation and eventual launch.
- Build and nurture deep, trusted relationships within a large academic health system, engaging with hospital administrators, clinical leaders, and senior executives to understand their needs and gain buy-in.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and bridge between health system stakeholders, Atomic, and the engineering and data teams, managing day-to-day relationship building, coordination, and communication.
- Collaborate closely with technical partners to explore and analyze claims data, operational workflows, and clinical processes to identify high-leverage problems that can be addressed through innovative solutions.
- Observe clinical workflows and operational procedures to understand pain points and opportunities for automation or enhancement.
- Support early go-to-market efforts by piloting initial solutions within the partner health system, collecting feedback, and iterating on the product.
- Help shape the product roadmap based on insights from hospital staff and operational data, ensuring alignment with healthcare system priorities.
- Contribute to defining the product vision, ensuring it addresses real clinical and operational challenges effectively.
- Assist in navigating healthcare bureaucracies, regulatory considerations, and organizational politics to facilitate project progress.
- Participate in early business formation activities, including market analysis, value proposition development, and initial customer engagement.
- Work with the team to develop a scalable business model that can expand into additional health systems and markets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones, validation efforts, and initial deployments.
- Engage with hospital leadership to understand their strategic priorities and align the product development accordingly.
- Support the collection of data and evidence to demonstrate the product's value and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development of pilot programs, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Help shape the company's strategic direction based on insights gained from healthcare system interactions.
- Be an advocate for user-centered design, ensuring that solutions are practical, usable, and meet clinical needs.
- Foster a collaborative environment with both healthcare and technical teams, promoting shared understanding and goals.
- Maintain a high level of ownership and initiative, embodying founder energy and a bias toward action.
- Represent the company in meetings with hospital stakeholders and potential partners, articulating the value proposition clearly and confidently.
Requirements
- Proven success in finding product-market fit at the 0 to 1 stage, taking ambiguous problems from exploration to actionable solutions.
- Experience working within or alongside the healthcare ecosystem, especially with hospital systems, clinical workflows, or health system leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with hospital administrators, CIOs, CFOs, and clinical leaders.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, capable of operating independently in fast-paced, under-specified environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and senior healthcare executives.
- Experience working directly with health system operators, hospital staff, or payers is highly valued.
- Familiarity with navigating healthcare regulations, organizational politics, and bureaucracies.
- Ability to analyze operational data, claims data, and workflows to identify opportunities.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and managing uncertainty.
- High ownership mentality, with a proactive, founder-like approach to responsibilities.
- Willingness to be based in Miami, FL, or open to relocation, with a preference for working from the office 2-3 days per week alongside the CTO and Head of Healthcare.
- Prior experience in healthcare consulting, data-intensive environments, or early-stage health tech companies is a plus.
- Exposure to hardware, sensors, or camera-based technology is advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated success in early-stage product development, especially in healthcare settings.
