What you'll do

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all material handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement efficient material handling processes that enhance productivity.
• Train and mentor staff on the proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support decision-making processes.
• Manage inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for the maintenance of equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs for compliance and auditing purposes.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
• Assist in the procurement of new material handling equipment, including evaluating options, negotiating contracts, and overseeing installation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to team members experiencing issues with equipment.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in material handling technology to recommend upgrades and improvements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in material handling equipment management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
• Proven experience in maintenance and repair processes, with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train and mentor others effectively.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Nice to have
