About the company
AppsFlyer is a data broker headquartered in San Francisco, California. The company was founded in Israel in 2011 by Oren Kaniel and Reshef Mann. It operates as a mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform. The service helps businesses measure the performance of their advertising campaigns across various channels. Advertisers use the platform to track app installs, in-app events, and revenue generation. This data allows companies to optimize their marketing spend and understand user behavior. The technology connects marketing inputs to business outcomes through deterministic and probabilistic matching methods. The platform integrates with a wide ecosystem of advertising networks and marketing tools. Privacy compliance is a significant operational focus for the business. The company processes large volumes of user-level data to power its attribution engine. In 2025, the organization was named in a legal complaint filed by the privacy advocacy group NOYB. The lawsuit identified the firm as a data broker serving TikTok. The complaint alleged illegal transfers of user private information. This action brought regulatory scrutiny to the company's data handling practices. The case highlighted tensions between attribution technology and evolving global privacy standards. AppsFlyer continues to develop its measurement solutions for the mobile ecosystem. The firm employs a global workforce across multiple office locations. Its client base includes brands and developers seeking marketing intelligence.
