This Growth Account Manager role in Japan is centered on expanding our footprint in the region by managing SMB client relationships and acquiring new business. The position owner is responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end sales journey with a consultative and strategic approach. You will act as a trusted advisor to Japanese SMB clients, aligning their mobile marketing objectives with the capabilities of our platform. You will own the narrative of mobile measurement and attribution within your assigned accounts.

What you'll do
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle for SMB accounts, covering prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing.
- Create and execute account strategies that align with client goals.
- Utilize the MEDDPICC framework and Challenger Sales methodology to drive value-based outcomes.
- Present data-driven insights to influence client strategy and demonstrate the impact of our platform.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across product, marketing, and leadership departments.
- Monitor account health to identify growth opportunities and mitigate churn risks.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Sales Development, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, and Resellers.
- Analyze competitor strategies to develop effective value propositions.
- Track KPIs and maintain accurate forecasting to meet revenue and retention targets.
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify specific mobile marketing challenges and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for account expansion and adoption.
- Translate complex product features into business benefits relevant to SMB decision-makers.
- Perform market intelligence gathering to identify new prospects and industry trends.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Leverage AI and sales technology tools to optimize research, outreach, and pipeline management.
- Qualify leads and prioritize opportunities based on potential value and fit.
- Document all interactions and update CRM records to maintain visibility into the sales pipeline.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on client insights and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of total sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in B2B SaaS sales targeting Japanese companies.
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Familiarity with the AdTech and MarTech landscape, specifically regarding attribution, mobile analytics, and marketing automation.
- Ability to craft narratives based on data to guide decision-making.
- Proficiency in using AI and modern sales technology to improve productivity and research.
- Native Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
- Master degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics and the ability to analyze performance data.
- Willingness to adhere to the company's code of conduct and ethical standards.
- Deep understanding of the SMB market dynamics within Japan.
- Capability to influence without direct authority through consultative selling.
