Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for internships and entry-level positions, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, and extending offers.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, career centers, student organizations, and faculty to promote Appian as an employer of choice among students.
- Organize and participate in campus recruiting events, career fairs, information sessions, and company presentations to increase visibility among university students.
- Collaborate with university contacts and internal stakeholders to create tailored recruitment campaigns that attract diverse talent pools aligned with organizational needs.
- Manage relationships with university career services and academic departments to facilitate internship programs and co-op opportunities.
- Support the creation and execution of employer branding initiatives targeted at university audiences, including social media campaigns, digital content, and campus ambassador programs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of virtual and on-site campus events, ensuring a positive candidate experience and strong engagement.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics related to campus hiring, such as applicant volume, quality of hire, and conversion rates, to continuously improve processes.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to understand talent needs and develop sourcing strategies that meet those requirements.
- Support broader recruitment efforts outside peak campus hiring periods, including corporate recruiting, diversity initiatives, and specialized hiring campaigns.
- Contribute to process improvements within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tools to streamline workflows and enhance candidate experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, university programs, and competitive hiring practices to keep our campus recruiting efforts innovative and effective.
- Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and strategic planning to align campus recruiting activities with overall talent acquisition goals.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for leadership on campus recruiting performance and initiatives.
- Support onboarding and orientation activities for new hires coming from university programs, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on campus recruitment or university relations.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with university partners, student organizations, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience organizing and executing large-scale campus recruiting events, career fairs, and employer branding campaigns.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, university staff, and hiring managers.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing tools, with a demonstrated ability to digital platforms for talent acquisition.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for campus visits, events, and meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, candidate experience strategies, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex projects and deadlines effectively.

- Experience in technical recruiting within software engineering, SaaS, or related technology industries.
- Familiarity with employer branding strategies, social media recruiting, and CRM sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of recruitment analytics and data-driven decision-making processes.
- Previous experience working with international or global university programs.
- Understanding of the UK higher education landscape and student recruitment trends.

- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools for employer branding.
- Analytical skills to interpret recruitment data and generate actionable insights.
Practical notes
- The salary range for this position is from £25,000 to £100,000 GBP, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal salary structures.
