About the role
This position is responsible for defining and executing the technical vision for APCO Holdings' enterprise connectivity strategy, ensuring that the network backbone aligns precisely with the business objectives of our dealership partners. The role owns the end to end design, implementation, and governance of a secure and resilient infrastructure that supports the delivery of innovative vehicle protection products across North America. You will act as the central authority on networking, security, and identity, translating high level business requirements into robust, scalable, and operationally sound technical solutions. This position leverages deep expertise in Microsoft Azure networking, Cisco Meraki, and identity platforms to build a foundation that is both agile and highly secure. You will drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, AIOps, and Zero Trust frameworks to create a self healing and automated environment. Success in this role means enabling frictionless connectivity for our partners and their customers while maintaining rigorous standards for performance and risk management. The work directly impacts the reliability of finance and insurance solutions delivered through our family of brands.

What you'll do
Architect and own the enterprise network backbone, focusing on Microsoft Azure networking, Cisco Meraki branch infrastructure, and identity driven access controls to deliver a unified and secure connectivity fabric.
Design and implement a Zero Trust architecture that evaluates user identity, device posture, and real time risk signals to dynamically govern access to applications, data, and infrastructure resources.
Lead the deployment and optimization of Azure Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Network Security Groups to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance for critical dealer facing services.
Define and manage connectivity strategies for hybrid cloud environments, integrating on premise infrastructure with Azure and SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365 to support seamless business operations.
Implement and automate network configurations using Infrastructure as Code methodologies, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and rapid deployment across global branch and data center locations.
Partner with security and operations teams to establish AIOps practices, enabling proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous optimization of network and security workflows.
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that network solutions support product delivery and customer experience goals.
Oversee the lifecycle management of Cisco Meraki infrastructure, including device provisioning, firmware management, and performance tuning for branch and remote site connectivity.
Champion the adoption of secure connectivity patterns for remote workers and mobile dealers, leveraging modern VPN, SD WAN, and identity based access controls.
Drive network performance analytics and reporting, using data to identify bottlenecks, optimize traffic flows, and guide strategic investments in connectivity and security.
Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices, providing technical leadership in audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
Mentor and guide network engineering teams by setting standards, promoting technical excellence, and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Must possess a deep and current understanding of Microsoft Azure networking services, including but not limited to Virtual Networks, Route Tables, Network Watcher, and Azure DNS.
Must have extensive hands on experience with Cisco Meraki platforms, including MS switching, MX security appliances, and MR wireless systems for branch and remote connectivity.
Must be proficient in Active Directory and Entra ID, with a strong grasp of identity based access control, single sign on, and multifactor authentication implementations.
Must demonstrate advanced skills in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar platforms for automated network and security configuration.
Must have a proven track record of designing and operating secure, highly resilient network architectures that support business critical applications.
Must hold a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewall policies, VPN technologies, and performance optimization.
Must exhibit experience with monitoring, logging, and AIOps practices to ensure network health, security posture, and rapid troubleshooting.
Must hold industry recognized certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent credentials that demonstrate advanced technical expertise.
Nice to have
Experience with public cloud platforms beyond Azure, including AWS or Google Cloud, is preferred.
Knowledge of emerging security frameworks and standards related to identity and access management is valued.
