Content Marketing Lead
Job description
About the role
Content Marketing Lead, Tax Infrastructure
Anrok is the dominant tax automation platform that allows businesses to expand globally without the burden of compliance complexity. As the digital economy has expanded sixfold over the last decade, software businesses have shifted from ignoring sales tax to needing constant monitoring of rates, calculations, and filings across more than 20 US states and numerous international jurisdictions. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that need to transact freely with customers everywhere. Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting directly with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels - so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.
Our customers include 40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies, 20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies, and notable brands such as Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor. We are making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies of all sizes, backed by over $100M in funding from leading investors including Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.
We are hiring a Content Marketing Lead to define how the company shows up in the market through editorial and digital content. You will set the content roadmap, direct the creative, and build the body of work that makes finance and operations leaders stop scrolling.
This is a builder's seat. You will own the strategy and ship the work, partnering closely with marketing and sales and managing our brand and creative agencies. The role requires a sharp point of view on tax infrastructure and the ability to transform it into content people actually want to read, watch, and share. Tax is not where most people expect to find great content; that is exactly the opening. Anrok has a real point of view, customers building the future, and a category that is wide open. You will define how a tax infrastructure company earns the market's attention.

What you'll do
- Own the content roadmap end to end, from strategy and social/editorial calendar to the work that ships, mapped to brand and pipeline goals.
- Set creative direction across formats: long-form editorial, thought leadership, video, social, newsletters, and campaign assets.
- Own the external content voice and build an editorial point of view on tax, finance, and infrastructure that could only come from Anrok.
- Manage agency and freelance partners across writing, design, and video. Brief the work, hold the bar, and keep the voice consistent.
- Partner with product marketing and sales to turn launches and customer stories into content that moves deals.
- Create for every stage of the funnel, from category narrative at the top to proof at the bottom.
- Own distribution. Decide where content lives, how it travels across channels, and how it compounds into an audience over time.
- Stay ahead of how content gets found and consumed, including AI-driven search and the feeds your audience actually reads.
- Tie content to engagement, audience growth, and pipeline, and move budget toward what performs.
- Translate complex tax infrastructure concepts into clear, compelling narratives for finance and operations leaders.
- Develop signature frameworks and playbooks that become reusable assets for sales enablement and thought leadership.
- Run editorial experiments to test headlines, formats, and hooks, then codify what works into the production playbook.
- Collaborate with sales to build battle-tested content that shortens sales cycles and supports deal registration.
- Define and maintain the editorial calendar for the year, balancing evergreen pillars with timely market moments.
- Mentor junior writers and designers by setting standards, providing feedback, and elevating the quality of output.

Requirements
- 5+ years creating content for a B2B audience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or infrastructure.
- A portfolio with range: digital first, sharp writing, and a few wins that broke through.
- Strong editorial judgment and a clear view of what great looks like.
- Experience directing creative and managing agencies or freelancers, not only producing the work yourself.
- Fluency in how modern audiences discover and consume content, from search to social to AI answers.
- A bias for shipping. You publish, learn, and iterate rather than wait for perfect.
- The ability to make a complex category land with a finance or operations leader in a single read.
- The experience of building a content engine or editorial brand from an early stage.
