Key facts
What you'll do
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities for professional services engagements within the Anaplan ecosystem and customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations to understand their planning and operational challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to position Anaplan's professional services as a strategic and valuable solution for clients.
- Create tailored service proposals that align with client objectives and Anaplan's delivery capabilities across various industries and use cases.
- Support the pre-sales process by contributing expertise on service scope, timelines, resource requirements, and expected outcomes for each engagement.
- Work hand-in-hand with delivery teams to ensure accurate scoping and resourcing of professional services projects from start to finish.
- Track and report on sales pipeline activity, opportunities, and forecasts related to professional services revenue on a regular basis.
- Represent Anaplan at industry events, webinars, and client meetings to promote service offerings and build market awareness.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor service offerings and emerging client trends in the business planning and analytics space.
- Manage multiple concurrent opportunities and prioritize daily activities to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets consistently.
- Build internal knowledge of Anaplan's platform features and capabilities to effectively communicate service value and differentiation to prospects.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to develop sales collateral and content that supports professional services sales efforts and outreach.
- Foster internal knowledge sharing and best practices within the sales team to improve professional services selling effectiveness over time.
Requirements
- Proven track record in professional services sales or consulting sales within the technology sector and enterprise software.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software sales cycles and the ability to navigate complex procurement and buying processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate clear and compelling value propositions to clients.
- Experience managing a pipeline of opportunities and meeting or exceeding revenue targets consistently over multiple quarters.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions including sales, delivery, product, and customer success teams within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and industry events as needed to support sales activities.
- Comfort with a target-driven environment and the discipline to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without losing focus.
- Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to engage with senior-level stakeholders and influence decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software platforms and a genuine interest in business intelligence and planning technologies.

- Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline reporting to provide accurate and timely updates to sales leadership.
