About the role
We are seeking an experienced Coupa Administrator to take ownership and provide strategic leadership for our Coupa ecosystem. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is passionate about building a world-class Procure-to-Pay function. You will be the organization's foremost expert on Coupa, accountable for its performance, roadmap, and adoption. The role requires to work in the US shift to support US stakeholders (The latest end time for the shift will be around mid-night IST). You will act as a strategic and influential partner to the Procurement department, guiding them on best practices and shaping how the platform is run to maximize efficiency and value. You will also serve as the technical lead and mentor for our other team members who assist with Coupa operations, helping to elevate their skills and ensure operational excellence. What you'll do
- Assume primary ownership of the Coupa platform, serving as the lead strategist responsible for its day-to-day stability and long-term strategic evolution.
- Act as the organization's foremost expert on Coupa, driving platform performance, defining the product roadmap, and spearheading adoption initiatives across the enterprise.
- Partner strategically with the Procurement department to guide best practices and shape operational workflows that maximize efficiency, value, and user satisfaction.
- Serve as the technical lead and mentor for team members assisting with Coupa operations, elevating their capabilities and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Design, configure, and optimize Coupa workflows, ensuring they align with enterprise standards, governance policies, and process improvement objectives.
- Monitor platform usage, analyze key metrics, and implement data-driven enhancements to improve user experience and process efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end process discovery, design, and implementation efforts to streamline Procure-to-Pay operations and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Support change management initiatives, including training, communication, and documentation to drive user adoption and confidence in the platform.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities within the Coupa environment, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Champion innovation by exploring new features, integrations, and automation opportunities to unlock additional value from the platform.
- Act as the central point of contact for Coupa-related inquiries, providing clear, timely, and accurate responses to internal customers and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards as they relate to procurement and payment processes.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to align Coupa initiatives with broader organizational goals and priorities.
- Continuously evaluate emerging trends and best practices in procure-to-pay and cloud-based platforms to position Anaplan as a leader in this space.
Requirements
- You possess 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, finance, or IT operations, with a strong focus on enterprise platform management.
- You have hands-on experience with Coupa Business Process Management (BPM) and configuration best practices.
- You demonstrate a deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and the role of technology in enabling operational excellence.
- You have proven experience leading complex platform implementations, enhancements, or migrations in a large enterprise environment.
- You hold strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, diagnose issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
- You exhibit excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- You have experience working in a global, matrixed organization and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
- You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing independent contributions with collaborative team efforts.
- You are detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy, governance, and compliance.
- You are comfortable with shift-based working, including overlapping hours with US-based teams to ensure seamless support and collaboration.
