What you'll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand Anaergia's market share in North America, focusing on key sectors such as municipal, industrial, and agricultural waste management.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building with potential clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that effectively communicate Anaergia's value proposition and drive lead generation.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits of Anaergia's waste-to-energy solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms that align with company objectives and profitability goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for growth and improvement.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, highlighting progress against targets and identifying potential challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent Anaergia and promote our innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction post-sale.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on client interactions and market needs to help shape future offerings.
- Mentor and support junior sales staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing sales culture within the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the renewable energy, waste management, or environmental sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of waste-to-energy technologies and their applications in various industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
