About the role

As the Manager of Commercial & Operations for the EMEA region at Anaergia, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency. Your primary focus will be to oversee the commercial strategies and operational processes that support our mission of providing sustainable solutions for waste management and renewable energy production. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the EMEA market dynamics. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that our projects are executed effectively and align with our corporate goals.

What you'll do

Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies tailored to the EMEA market, ensuring alignment with Anaergia's overall business objectives.
Manage and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all projects within the region.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, to foster collaboration and support project success.
Prepare and present detailed reports on operational performance and commercial activities to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Oversee the budgeting and financial forecasting processes for the EMEA region, ensuring that all projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Drive the implementation of best practices in operations and commercial management, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the EMEA region, mitigating risks associated with operational activities.
Participate in industry conferences and events to represent Anaergia and promote our innovative solutions in waste management and renewable energy.
Utilize data analytics to monitor project performance and operational metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance overall effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and operations management, preferably within the renewable energy or waste management sectors.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and market insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EMEA region is a plus.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.

Experience working in an international environment, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and market dynamics across EMEA.
Knowledge of sustainable technologies and practices related to waste management and renewable energy.
Previous experience in business development or sales within the energy sector.
Familiarity with financial modeling and budgeting processes.
A network of contacts within the renewable energy and waste management industries.

Skills & tools

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation.
Experience with project management software and tools, such as MS Project or Asana.
Familiarity with CRM systems and data analytics platforms to track performance metrics and manage client relationships.

Practical notes

This position is based in Treviglio, Bergamo, Italy, and may require occasional travel within the EMEA region.
The salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, and will include benefits typical for full-time positions in the industry.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Italy and may require a work visa depending on their nationality.
