What you'll do
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on various equipment, including pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions for mechanical problems that arise during operations.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the installation of new mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff on the proper use and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Participate in the development of preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in mechanical operations.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all service activities.
- Prepare reports on mechanical system performance and maintenance activities for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering to enhance service capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical service or maintenance engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical engineering.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
