Anaergia is seeking a talented Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Treviglio, Bergamo. This full-time position will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our innovative waste-to-energy solutions. Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and develop control systems for various waste-to-energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to integrate control systems into overall project designs.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance and reliability of control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Create and maintain documentation for control system designs, including specifications, diagrams, and user manuals.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff on the use and maintenance of control systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in control technologies to ensure Anaergia remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and scheduling to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Assist in the procurement of instrumentation and control equipment, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure successful integration of third-party systems and components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the energy or environmental sectors.
- Proficiency in control system design and programming, with experience in PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and control principles, including PID control and loop tuning.
- Experience with instrumentation selection and calibration for various process parameters.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as IEC, ISO, and NFPA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using engineering software tools for simulation, modeling, and data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with renewable energy technologies, particularly in waste-to-energy applications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for performance monitoring and optimization.
- Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Italian, is advantageous.
